EPA RRP and OSHA Fall Protection Training 10/7/2011 Riverhead NY

For our New York customers we are holding two trainings on Friday 10/7/2011 in Riverhead NY. One training is EPA RRP Lead Certification and the other is OSHA Residential Fall Protection Training.

Fall Protection Training  OSHA      EPA RRP Training  EPA RRP Manual

The EPA RRP Law has been in effect since 10/22/2011. Any contractor who wants to work on pre 1978 homes is suppose to be certified.

The OSHA Fall Protection Training compliance date was last week on 9/16/2011. Any contractor who works 6' above lower levels is required to have a fall protection plan and training in place for their workers. Contractors are also required to use safety nets, guard rails and fall arrest systems.  Note; OSHA requires general contractors to make sure that sub contractors are up to speed on OSHA requirements when working on the general contractors project. This means contractors are responsible for both employees and subs.

We help residential contractors obtain their compliance training for both EPA and OSHA programs.

Training details and dates;

EPA RRP Lead Training Certification on 10/7/2011 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Riverhead NY. Time is 7:30 to 5:00 PM.

OSHA Residential Fall Protection Training on 10/7/2011 also at the Hilton Garden Inn in Riverhead NY. Time is 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Please let others know about these trainings. Most lumberyards and suppliers are unaware of the OSHA fall protection directive. Many contractors rely on the yards and suppliers for information and very little has been sent out by OSHA.

Comments

it takes awhile for old habits to be changed and get comfortable with a harness, but only a second to slip and another few seconds before smashing the ground and ending a lifetime of hard work.
