EPA Firm Application for Contractors, Remodelers and the Trades

The EPA began accepting applications in October 2009 from firms who will perform work on pre-1978 properties. Many contractors are not aware that they can apply to be an approved firm prior to receiving the Certified Renovator designation.

The EPA has reported that applications will take 90 days to be processed subject to a first come first served basis. This will undoubtedly cause a problem for contractors who wait too long to send in their application with the $300.00 fee.

Contractors, Remodelers, Trades; Send your applications in right away!!!

The EPA will be swamped with applications and some trainers in the lead field have told us it may take as long as six months to receive approvals. Hopefully, if this happens the EPA will extend the deadline. However, if they don't, firms waiting for approval will not be able to legally work on pre-1978 homes until they receive their firm certifications.

For your convenience, The Contractor Coaching Partnership is providing a down load copy of the application in the right margin of this page.
