Contractor worked on a frame, he fell and then he died

Another worker without fall protection, fell to his death in Massachusetts. Last week on 1/14/2016 in Sutton, Ma. 22 year old Ricardo R. Oliveira fell 25 feet while working on a job site at 449 Central Turnpike. He was transported by a life flight helicopter to a Worcester hospital. He died a few days after succumbing to his injuries. I doubt he went to work thinking he was going to die but that is what happened.

Fall Protection Enforcement Top Priorty in Region 1: MA, CT, NH, RI

Fall Protection enforcement continues to be one of OSHA Region 1's top focus priority. The OSHA Fall Hazard LEP will be in effect until September of 2015. Region 1 includes New England states; Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Maine. Data Statistics from OSHA's website show numerous citations for fall protection violations in 2010, 2011 and 2012.  Contractors in Mass, Connecticut, NH and RI can expect a continuation of the enforcement activity seen in the past two years.

OSHA Contractor Fall Protection Training 5.26.2011

Effective June 16th, 2011 residential contractors are required to have their OSHA Fall Protection written plan in place. To help contractors meet this new requirement we are holding a OSHA Fall Protection training on 5/26/2011 at Brockway Smith 146 Dascomb Rd, Andover, Mass.
