Mass DOS announced it is planning on increasing RRP enforcement on contractors as soon as spring breaks. On Friday 3/11/2011 I attended the Mass DOS meeting with Mass RRP Training Providers. I asked several times how are they going to handle enforcement of contractors who are non compliant. 

Mass RRP trained contractors are holding back on applying for their Lead License. Last month I posted that there are over 4,000 EPA Certified Firms from Mass. Yet only 1000 firms have applied for their Mass license since 7/9/2011 when Mass took over. You would think that since the Mass license for firms certified before July is free that more would jump on board.

Yesterday, The Contractor Coaching Partnership and Safety Trainers, Inc. conducted a RRP/OSHA Respirator and Lead in Construction training for Massachusetts contractors. We developed this training to help Massachusetts RRP trained contractors prepare for the Mass Lead Safe Renovation Contractor application.
