Mass RRP Training in Massachusetts at National Lumber: Last Call

Posted by Mark Paskell on Sat, Dec 15, 2012 @ 01:06 PM

Mass RRP Training is scheduled for this coming Tuesday at our host National Lumber in Mansfield Mass. This is a Last Call for available seats. Mass RRP Training

If you are not certified yet and you are working on pre -1978 homes this is a perfect time to wrap up your training. In our training we teach you the law and share insights how you can weave the requirements into your business to protect your self, workers and homeowners. This training encompasses the Mass differences and the various EPA amendments since the law went into effect.

Should I retake the RRP training?

Some people who were trained on the EPA RRP Program before Mass took over the law on 7/9/2010 are re-taking the training because of all the changes and confusion. Some who were trained admit they haven't opened the book since they were trained in early 2010! If you are confused or unsure of your responsibilities to follow the rule re-training may be a cost effective decision.

Believe it or not some contractors still think that the Mass or EPA RRP Law is nothing to worry about. All on has to do is take a look at the Mass website or read one of recent posts and ask one of the 35 plus contractors who have been fined if that is the case.

In EPA regulated states we just saw the EPA announce fines and penalties for 16 companies. The largest was for a Mass company $3,800,000.

Here is a list of contractors and others who need to be certified.
