An OSHA Regional Administrator asked me to share information about recent falls through skylights and let people know they need to follow the OSHA Fall Protection standards when working on roofs. If you do not know what you are responsible for you need to train your people and yourself before exposure to fall hazards. Contractors are reporting that they are having there jobs shut down if they do not have fall protection even on flat roofs.

Instead of playing not to lose, choose play to win
Posted by Mark Paskell on Tue, Feb 17, 2015 @ 08:48 PM
Do you play not to lose or do you put forward the effort and prepare to win? When you play not to lose you are on the defensive and appear weak when trying to win business from the consumer. You question your price and the consumer picks up the vibes and your lack of confidence. They make up any excuse or reason to get you to drop your price even further. If you cave and they buy, you end up taking on a project that makes you feel unworthy. You settle and think oh well this is all I can get even though you know you deserve better and you should walk away instead of settling.
